In the Know (July 2021 Edition - Part 1)
Hey everyone, Bayode speaking here! First year has finally finished for me and summer has officially started, meaning I have more free time on my hands. We live in a time where everyone wants to own a business and be an entrepreneur which is great, however, sometimes it’s important to understand that this path isn’t for everyone.
As someone who is still in the beginning stages of launching their business, I can say that it’s much harder than I anticipated. Having a side hustle is all fun and games until you find yourself losing motivation to keep going.
This doesn’t mean that I don’t encourage having a side hustle. We’ve all probably heard the importance of having multiple streams of income and for this reason, I believe as young women we should all have something extra that we can do.
However, whether it is, having a second job to investing in properties or even crypto. Do it for yourself and not others. Be interested. Be passionate. Don’t just do it for the sake of being labelled as a ‘boss babe’ — do it because you want to unlock new levels in your life or reach bigger financial goals that you couldn’t before.
