We are excited to bring to you this month’s newsletter covering the theme of personal branding. To start, we ask Tanuvi Ethunandan, CEO and Co-Founder of Data Duopoly about building her personal and company brand during her recent fundraising journey.
Data Duopoly was founded by myself Tanuvi Ethunandan and Erin Morris, to revolutionise the visitor experience in venues worldwide. Our app tracks and monitors visitor distribution; reducing queues and managing bottlenecks to give a unique and personalised digital experience. During the pandemic we adapted our technology to prioritise customer and staff safety in the sector.
Data Duopoly has received backing from several angel investors which has unlocked further funding, sending us into the next phase of expansion.
After numerous pitches (including virtual ones) we are thrilled to have received investment from three south west angels and a London-based investor. This has unlocked match funding from Aerospace Cornwall and the European Space Agency, which will allow us to scale up the business. The journey to get here was one of knocking on many doors and speaking to as many people as possible! So my advice to anyone going on a fundraising round, is to find people who share your passion for the problem you are solving, and then the funding will come from that.
So what does it mean for Data Duopoly? We are delighted to receive this backing. It’s great to not only have recognition for our innovation but also being able to grow our team. We are looking to recruit a senior developer, junior developer and sales/marketing lead. So “cheers” to the future of Data Duopoly and our mission to revolutionise the visitor experience in any venue worldwide!
